Photos from walk on 4th June round Radley Lakes

Damp to start with, but none of the heavy rain in the forecast. At the start, glorious fields of poppies. Phone pictures; I left the big camera behind becasue of the forecast.

An exception to my general rule of not showing faces.

At the Barton Field end of Radley Lakes, a stunning patch of wildflowers

With a new (to me) species: Corn Cockle (Agrostemma githago)

Nothing caught my eye as we walked up the THames path to Radley, and back towards Soundings Bridge

Then more views of the poppies as we returned to the car park

Hard to select a “best” poppy photo from the day, and hard to delete one’s that are “good enough”, so find a few more poppies in the gallery.
