Photos from walk on Thursday 8th July from Cumnor


Start from Cumnor village hall; drop down the scarp to Farmoor Reservoir (great views ), then on to Bablock Hythe, Eaton, Appleton & Besselsleigh.  Photos only from the Farmoor section.

The grass appears to be Timothy: Phleum pratense aka timothy-grass, meadow cat’s-tail or common cat’s tail.

 

The yellow flower mainly beside the reservoir before we went into the woods: Lathyrus pratensis or meadow vetchling, yellow pea, meadow pea and meadow pea-vine.

 

The yellow flower after the woods: Pastinaca sativa – WILD PARSNIP aka Bird’s-nest, Field Parsnip, Madnip, Parsnip, Wild Parsnip, Common parsnip
