Photos from walk on Thursday 10th November from Compton to Aldworth

to the Bell, again.

“Walking” photos this week.  But there were lots of fungi in the lanes which you can find in the slideshow at the end.

Approaching St. Mary’s and St. Nicholas’s Church, Compton

A week or two back the ivy was in full flower and alive with wasps, bees, flies and more. Today, silent. Not a buzzy thing in sight. But gorgeous purple and green fruit:

The lane towards Aldworth

Appropriate for Remembrance Sunday, the slate memorial to  Lawrence Benyon in St. Mary’s Church, Aldworth, where his ashes were scattered.

Heading home over the downs.
