Photos from walk on Thursday 2nd February from Woodcote to Hailey

A field corner of Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum).

Approaching Newtown, Ipsden

Probably magnolia buds (at the coffee stop)

Beech hedge in Newtown, Ipsden

Snowdrops

In the woods before the Blue Tin cafe. Leaf miners. Probably Stimella moth larvae. “The foodplant is Bramble and its whitish mines, often tinged purple, are a familiar sight on Bramble leaves everywhere.”

Probably more Turkey Tail

At Bottom Farm

The Chiltern Way Extension near Woodcote

Four trunks make one tree.

We did this same walk, in the other direction, in May 2022.

Again, beautiful photos, David. My favourite might just be the teasel in its halo followed by Bottom Farm….it’s stressful to make a choice!!! Thank you.
