For various reasons we decided to take the lower path, so broke all the rules and headed off-piste

 

One of the attractions of the lower path was this winter tree

 

We saw the two trees at Bury Down shrouded in mist in December 2022

Great to have the comparison of the Twin Trees, I certainly remember that misty day in December 22!
Such a colourful set of photos from today, thanks, David, especially for the icy moss and the knareld tree!
